In a news conference on Tuesday (Apr 14), Manpower Minister Josephine Teo explained why COVID-19 is spreading quickly through Singapore’s foreign worker dormitories: “Despite the safe distancing measures that were in place then in these dormitories, the virus in the dorms spread through socialising activities - much like it would spread among housemates, friends and also in the community.”
