As over 90,000 Americans have died due to COVID-19, Pres. Trump is breaking the bipartisan custom of consoling the nation. That approach is a contrast to several Presidents, including Pres. Obama, who emphasized consoling victims, sharing his own emotion, and leading prayers during tragedies ranging from mass shootings to updating the nation on the swine flu pandemic. MSNBC Anchor Ari Melber features recent historical footage and a “side by side” contrast of both President’s statements about infectious disease outbreaks (swine flu and coronavirus). This is an excerpt from a longer segment comparing Trump to several Presidents in both parties. US President Donald Trump has “triggered yet another bout of outrage” by taking some coronavirus precautions into his own hands says Sky News host Chris Kenny. US President Donald Trump had revealed he is taking hydroxychloroquine as a preventative measure against coronavirus, despite it being unproven as an effective COVID-19 treatment. Mr Trump said the White House doctor cleared his use of the drug which he has been taking for the last week and a half in pill form and has had “zero symptoms”. Mr Trump backed the drug as a potential coronavirus cure, despite warnings from top medical professionals in his administration. Mr Kenny said “over the top” hysterics have been observed in the media over the drug which was cleared for use for the president. “I guess Trump is now unofficially part of those clinical trials,” Mr Kenny said. “But obviously, don’t follow him or anyone else, follow the advice only of your doctor”. President Donald Trump said Monday he has been taking anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine for over a week to prevent coronavirus infection. Hydroxychloroquine, which has been repeatedly touted by Trump as a potential game-changer in fighting the coronavirus, is also often used by doctors to treat rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. Numerous clinical trials are looking to see if it’s effective in fighting the coronavirus, but it is not a proven treatment yet.

Donald Trump has stepped up his anti-China rhetoric saying he was very disappointed over its failure to contain the novel coronavirus. It’s now thought the US-China trade deal could be under threat. As Washington and Beijing signed a Phase 1 trade deal in December, hailed by the Republican president as a major achievement, the COVID-19 outbreak broke out in Wuhan, China, and was spreading silently In an interview broadcast on Fox Business Network the US President said: “They should have never let this happen… I make a great trade deal and now I say this doesn’t feel the same to me. The ink was barely dry and the plague came over. And it doesn’t feel the same to me.” Under the Phase 1 deal signed in January, Beijing pledged to buy at least $200 billion in additional US goods and services over two years while Washington agreed to roll back tariffs in stages on Chinese goods. A Chinese state-run newspaper has reported that some government advisers in Beijing were urging fresh talks and possibly invalidating the agreement. Trump said again he was not interested in renegotiating. While US intelligence agencies said the virus did not appear to be manmade or genetically modified, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said early in May there is “a significant amount of evidence” the virus came from a laboratory in Wuhan. During the interview, Trump said the coronavirus outbreak showed the era of globalization was over. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11627191/trump-beat-biden-battleground-states-coronavirus/ https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11626416/trump-maskless-factory-tour-pennsylvania/ https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11627174/trump-claims-obama-directed-spy-obamagate-theory/ From Brexit breaking news to HD

US President Donald Trump has clashed with his top Covid-19 adviser Dr Anthony Fauci, accusing him of wanting “to play all sides of the equation”. The US’ top infectious disease expert urged caution about reopening schools, and the economy. “We don’t know everything about this virus and we really better be pretty careful, particularly when it comes to children,” Fauci told a Senate committee. But Mr Trump described it as “not an acceptable answer”. “Our country’s got to get back and it’s got to get back as soon as possible. And I don’t consider our country coming back if the schools are closed,” he said. Dr. Anthony Fauci has found himself in the crosshairs of both President Donald Trump and networks like Fox News after he warned against opening the country too quickly. Trump claimed Fauci’s remarks about reopening schools, made during a Senate briefing on federal coronavirus response, contradicted what Fauci had told him privately. And several Fox News personalities have attacked Fauci’s credibility, and said his expertise should be dismissed because he is an unelected official.
