Former Conservative prime minister Liz Truss has lost her seat in the UK general election. Truss was standing in the constituency of South West Norfolk and lost to Labour by 630 votes. India Election 2024 Results LIVE: PM Modi Gets Historic Third Term, Opposition Surges | N18ER The counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 is underway. This comes after voting for 543 Lok Sabha seats were conducted in over seven phases. Opposition INDIA alliance has made significant gains in the recently held Lok Sabha elections, as the Congress-led bloc is said to win over 200 seats across the country. The ruling BJP, contrary to exit poll predictions, was reduced to 240 seats, which is significantly less than what they won in 2019 elections. BJP-led NDA is now highly unlikely to cross its target of 400 seats as the INDIA alliance continues pushing their numbers further down. During the exit polls, NDA was given more than 350 seats, which are also highly unlikely for them to achieve as per the latest reports.
