Not only is the sector missing 3 teeth, but the rack and pinion swivel shaft is also seized from years and years of rust build up. After installing the engine from my craftsman LTV10 lawn tractor, I received my new flywheel, after installed it doesnt seem to charging at full 12 volts. As suspected, the stator was damaged from the DYT4000, therefore, I had to order a new stator. While I wait for it to arrive, I live up and free the pulleys and spindles on the mower deck and install it. Aside from the stator, this tractor is now alive again. Couple days ago I was driving around in town and I noticed an old riding mower sitting by the dumpster at a repair shop. They were closed at the time so I had to wait and go back the next day. Went back and asked about it and they said if I wanted it I could have it! So I ran back to the house and got a trailer and loaded her up! She fired right up when I tried starting it but she wouldnt go into gear. Quick look I saw the drive belt had come off. Easy fix, but then i noticed an even bigger issue! Wont be hard to fix though. I’ll get it cleaned up and sell it for a profit! Dont forget to subscribe to the channel to see more things like this!

I picked another free lawn tractor with trailer. The engine runs but there may be an issue with the transmission as it’s very hard to shift. It did not come with a battery and the steeri g sector may have stripped teeth. Nevertheless, the tractor has a working engine and has good wheels which I could always use should I scrap it. I will get it running though and figure out if it’s a salvageable tractor after I do an engine swap on the other free Craftsman LT1500 I got the other day. One tractor resurrection at a time. In this video, I share my experiences with a free Craftsman lawn mower that I found on the side of the road. The Mower is a Craftsman with a 7.25hp Briggs Engine. The previous owner had trashed it because it had a sheared blade bolt prohibiting the attachment of a blade. We extract the sheared blade bolt by drilling it out and replace the following parts: Husqvarna Blade Adapter 581473301 Husqvarna Blade Bolt 532851074 Husqvarna Washer 532851084 Husqvarna Lock Washer 539990118 In addition, we gave the unit a general tune up including an oil change, a new air filter, and a new spark plug. We cleaned the unit up and prepared it for a quick sale on Facebook Marketplace.

On top of selling my Cub Cadet for $300, I pieced together a cracked hood and fabricated brackets to remount to the tractor and welded the mower deck of its rotted areas with sheet metal. I picked this free mower up along with another one off the street thanks to a tip from my friend Quinn “The Mailman”. The mower was apart and the previous owner had recoiled the engine cover backwards. I repaired the recoil starter, but turns out the engine had a blown connecting rod.

My brakes felt like they were always rubbing, so much that they were smoking. From my previous episodes, you’ll know I almost tore down this tractor and parted it out for the curb but due to the great condition of it, I decided to try and rejuvenate the engine and see if it would run. After it ran so well, I decided to find a seat for it and eventually a deck. My friend Jason saw a Facebook marketplace listing of the exact deck I needed in excellent condition for just $60. I ended up getting it for $40 which is very unlike what I do. I never pay for anything, but I thought it was a great deal for a deck in such great shape and an exact match to what I needed for this project to be completed. Therefore I had to spend the money which goes against my philosophy of my YouTube channel. The deck fit perfectly but I did have to find a spring for the PTO and a bunch of R clips to get the deck installed. One of the blades were bent so I had replace it with a blade from the back yard, it’s not the same blade but it worked and didnt vibrate. Thanks to Jason for the heads up. While test driving forward and reverse, I noticed it wasnt stopping well using the brake pedal. I suspected it needed an adjustment and / or new brake pads. It also had trouble starting sometimes due to too much compression.
