Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah told the press on Saturday that hospitals were using hydroxychloroquine as one of the drugs to treat Covid-19 symptoms. Malaysia reported 31 more Covid-19 cases on Wednesday (May 20), bringing the country’s total number of infections to 7,009. Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah on Saturday revealed that Malaysia will be one the countries collaborating with China on a vaccine for Covid-19. The Health director-general said China, which is currently in its second phase of testing the vaccine is expected to complete trials by December. He said the ministry will also look into an automated device from China which will generate results of tests faster.
