THE RULES: – Only allowed to catch the first pokemon encountered in each area. – If a pokemon faints it must be released. NO EXCEPTIONS. – Nickname ALL caught pokemon. – Surfing and fishing count as different areas from tall grass (but not different from each other). – If a first encounter escapes via roar, teleport, etc. or is a pokemon that has already been caught, the player can try again. – Pokemon of the same family or evolution line as one already caught cannot be caught again and fall under the above rule. – Static/unique encounters (drifloon, rotom etc.) are exempt from the ‘only catch the first encounter’ rule. – If the first encounter is a double battle, both pokemon are eligible to be caught. – No legendary pokemon. – No breeding for pokemon. – If all the pokemon in the party faint and the player whites/blacks out, the run is over.
