Dallas Mavericks All Star Kristaps Porzingis reacts to the Mavericks 118-110 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers In Game 1 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Porzingis finished the game with 14 points & 6 rebounds before his ejection in the 3rd quarter.
Luka Doncic made NBA history by posting 42 points in his NBA playoff debut, but a lot of the attention fell on Kristaps Porzingis’ ejection early in the third quarter. After getting into it with Marcus Morris, Porzingis — who already picked up a technical in the first half — immediately picked up his second technical and got tossed. What are your thoughts on the first and second technical and do you think the Mavericks could have stole Game 1 if Porzingis played the entire game? Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers had enough answers to withstand Luka Doncic’s dazzling debut – especially after his running mate was thrown out of the game. Leonard had 29 points and 12 rebounds, and the Clippers got a big boost from the ejection of Kristaps Porzingis to beat the Dallas Mavericks 118-110 on Monday night in Game 1 of their Western Conference playoff series. Doncic finished with 42 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, and had the No. 7 seed hanging right with the Clippers for much of the night. But Los Angeles pulled into the lead when Porzingis was ejected for picking up his second technical foul in the third quarter to move ahead and Doncic couldn’t bring the Mavs all the way back. Game 2 in the best-of-seven series is Wednesday. Paul George added 27 points and Marcus Morris had 19 for the Clippers. Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 18 points adn Porzingis finished with 14, along with Seth Curry. The Clippers knocked around Doncic, the 21-year-old superstar who led the NBA in triple-doubles, whenever they could. But he never stopped coming back at them, but late 3-pointers by Patrick Beverley and Morris finally turned Dallas back. The Clippers swarmed Doncic from the outset, forcing him into three turnovers in the first two minutes while racing to a 10-0 lead. It quickly grew to 18-2 31/2 minutes into the game and things looked really bleak for the Mavs when Doncic slipped to the court on a drive and appeared [More]
This was a heartbreaking loss, simply because of how it happened. Kristaps Porzingis got ejected on a bogus call and the Mavs just couldn’t close out the game. Tim Hardaway Jr and Seth Curry made terrible decisions down the stretch of the game. We talk about the two turning points, Luka’s historic night, and whether or not the Mavericks can sustain this level of play throughout this series. Yesterday, the playoffs kicked off with a quadruple header. As the Clippers faced off against the Mavericks, Luka Doncic was in the spotlight, but attention fell on Kristaps as he got ejected for two bogus technicals. Here are my thoughts.
Rachel Nichols, Richard Jefferson and Scottie Pippen react to Kristaps Porzingis being ejected from Game 1 of the Dallas Mavericks vs. LA Clippers first-round series in the 2020 NBA Playoffs, and whether he deserved it after he picked up his second technical defending Luka Doncic in a skirmish with Marcus Morris. #NBA #Sports #TheJump ✔️Subscribe to ESPN+ https://plus.espn.com/ ✔️ Get the ESPN App: http://www.espn.com/espn/apps/espn ✔️Subscribe to ESPN on YouTube: http://es.pn/SUBSCRIBEtoYOUTUBE ✔️ Subscribe to NBA on ESPN on YouTube: http://bit.ly/SUBSCRIBEtoNBAonESPN ✔️ Watch ESPN on YouTube TV: http://es.pn/YouTubeTV ESPN on Social Media: ► Follow on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/espn ► Like on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/espn ► Follow on Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/espn Visit ESPN on YouTube to get up-to-the-minute sports news coverage, scores, highlights and commentary for NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, College Football, NCAA Basketball, soccer and more. This Golden State Warriors fan with front row seats to the Raptors-Warriors Game 3 of the 2019 NBA Finals couldn’t contain his emotions and pushed Raptors’ Kyle Lowry after he dove out of bounds to save a ball. OAKLAND, Calif. — Drake has been outdone.  In a bizarre scene, a Warriors fan pushed Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry on the sidelines after he scrambled for a loose ball and dove out of bounds early in the fourth quarter not far from where Warriors owner Joe Lacob was sitting.  As he was getting up off the floor, it appeared the fan pushed him in the shoulder.  A female who was standing nearby patted the veteran guard on his back, according to the Associated Press.  Lowry was livid afterward, saying the fan should not come back. The fan was ejected.  “As for that fan, there’s no place for that,” Lowry said. “He had no reason to touch me. He had no reason to reach over two seats and then say some vulgar language, there’s no place for people like that in the league. see also Drake instantly trolls Warriors’ Klay Thompson with questionable photo The NBA Finals are quickly becoming the Drake vs. Klay…  “Hopefully he never comes back to an NBA game,’’ Lowry said.  Later on ESPN, Lowry called for the fan’s banning.  The fan could not hold Lowry down as he erupted for a team-high 23 points in the Raptors’ 123-109 Game 3 victory.  The league said it is investigating the incident, according to the website.  Before the Finals, the NBA had warned Drake about not interfering on the court.
