Free mower given to us.

This was a free lawn tractor I got locally without an engine, it was designed to have a 17hp kohler with a rear gas tank using a fuel pump delivery system. I put a 9hp kawasaki engine from a rear engine from a john deere rx75 riding mower on it. It wasnt designed to have a fuel pump and the pulse from the breather wasnt strong enough to deliver gas from the rear all the way to the front. I tried 3 fuel pumps including an electric one…none of them worked well enough to allow the engine to run correctly, either it was starving for fuel or it flooded the carburetor. The repowered engine had an attached muffler so I removed the original stock muffler out of the bottom cradle as well as the not needed heat shield. I repaired the shifter quadrant because the 2 bottom plastic tabs were broken and was loose. I fabricated some tabs and it’s good as new. In episode 2 of my L100 fix, I installed a dual circuit stator to replace the 10/16 amp stator that was originally on the engine. I added a starter motor, replaced the magneto, drained the gas tank and blew it out. Added a battery and gave it a first crank.
