The All-Electric Cadillac LYRIQ 2023 – Highlights ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Cadillac’s first electric SUV makes a bold design statement that introduces a new face, proportion and presence for the brand’s new generation of EVs. It’s a forward-looking vision unconstrained by the needs of a traditional internal combustion engine and driveline. The propulsion system and supporting technologies position Cadillac to be a leader in electrification, connectivity and automated driving, all delivered with thrilling performance and a new threshold in technology integration. “Led by LYRIQ, Cadillac will redefine American luxury over the next decade with a new portfolio of transformative EVs,” said Steve Carlisle, executive vice president and president, GM North America. “We will deliver experiences that engage the senses, anticipate desires and enable our customers to go on extraordinary journeys.” The LYRIQ is based on GM’s next-generation, modular electric vehicle platform and driven by the Ultium propulsion system, allowing Cadillac to deliver customers a variety of range and performance options. With range being one of the biggest factors when it comes to selecting an EV, we’re designing LYRIQ to offer beyond 300 miles of range on a full charge, based on internal testing. Performance and technology highlights include: – Charging options that fit a variety of preferences for home, the workplace and on the road — including DC fast charging rates over 150 kilowatts and Level 2 charging rates up to 19 kW – Rear-wheel drive and performance all-wheel drive configurations – LYRIQ will offer the enhanced version of Super Cruise, the industry’s [More]

Cadillac’s first Luxury electric vehicle will be Lyriq SUV, which carries sharp design and luxurious interior. It will be equipped with single motor rear-wheel drive and double-motor four-wheel drive versions and driving range will stretch more than 300 miles. The Lyriq has been built from scratch and will ride on General Motors’ EV scalable battery architecture platform. The Lyriq should be available on sale in early 2022 as 2023 model. Lyriq is a brand-new nameplate for American luxury brand but its also a Cadillacs first all-electric production model. In the market it will rival such models as Audi E-tron, Jaguar I-Pace and Tesla Model X. The Lyriq’s base price will start at $59,995 and it will have upper trim levels with additional price tag. The Lyriq will have rear-wheel drive version as standard and all-wheel drive will be optional. The rear wheel drive motor will produce 340hp and there is no clear answer how much hp there will be with 2-axel all-wheel drive, but its sure the acceleration will be quick enough to push the Lyriq from 0-60mph in between 4-5 seconds. GM is launching a line of new EV battery technology called Ultium, which will be used in Lyriq. This scalable platform allows the automaker to produce batteries that range in size from 50.kWh to 200kWh. The largest one will be dedicated to the pickup trucks like GMC Hummer EV SUT. The Lyriq will be equipped with 100kWh battery pack and can go 300 miles or more per charge.
