ABC SHOW page https://www.facebook.com/ABCSHOWtv Overview The battle for the best high-performance pickup truck just got interesting now that the 702-horsepower Ram 1500 TRX has entered the arena. The Hellcat-powered half-ton has the Ford F-150 Raptor squarely in its sights, but until its Blue Oval rival adds more power and steps up its interior game, the Ram might rule. Rivalry aside, the TRX is an impressive and intimidating machine. Its body is 8 inches wider than the regular Ram 1500, and its off-road capabilities have been transformed. This is thanks to a stronger frame, an even more sophisticated suspension, and myriad other enhanced characteristics. The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is also loaded with a seriously luxurious interior and packed with all the latest technology. The only question left is whether the TRX can fly higher over the jumps than the now seemingly obsolete Raptor. What’s New for 2021? Ram has been teasing a high-powered rival to the F-150 Raptor since it debuted a badass concept truck back in 2016, but now the wait is over and the teasing has turned to reality. What’s especially neatā€”besides the fact it packs a 700-plus-horsepower Hellcat motorā€”is that the production TRX looks pretty close to what was promised. With intimidating inflated bodywork, a bed-mounted spare-tire carrier, body-colored beadlock-capable wheels, and an abundance of other off-road goodies, the most radical Ram is, thankfully, fully realized. Engine, Transmission, and Performance Hiding between the TRX’s bulging fenders and below its scooped hood is a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V-8. [More]

So we did have the opportunity to both drive this TRX on road and off but letā€™s face it, going fast in this thing is where itā€™s at and although it handled itself just fine on our slow and technical off-road course, this thing is really meant to be running, hammer down, in an open field or desert rally. Letā€™s talk quickly about what this new truck from Ram is first and then weā€™ll get into some of my thoughts and impressions after getting some seat time. First off, the TRX was developed with help from FCAā€™s SRT engineering team with a goal to not just out perform but significantly out perform the competition. Thereā€™s a lot about this truck that makes it so good but thereā€™s no overlooking that power plant. Under the hood is the one and only supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine pushing 702-hp and delivering a top speed of 118-mph. This my friends is the fastest, most powerful, mass-production half-ton truck in the world. The next little tid-bit with this TRX is its all-new custom suspension composed of the highest quality components and tuning geared toward high-speed desert runs (like I already mentioned) And, as Ram does, this isnā€™t just about the performance as you also get a world class interior. This truck has a high-performance inspired interior utilizing Ramā€™s 12 inch Uconnect display, an all-new heads-up display, a flat bottom racing inspired SRT steering wheel, and you also get an exclusive Drive mode selector. #RamTRX #HellcatRam #TRXvsRaptor Hey everyone! Back with a spontaneous last minute late night video for you all today. I have been receiving a lot of questions in regards to the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX “T-Rex” so I figured I would post a video about the fun facts, figures, and my thoughts and opinions on the new 6.2L supercharged v8 Hellcat powered Ram truck. It’s truly amazing that they were able to pack this much supercharged power into a full-sized pick-up truck and I’m very excited to see where the competition goes from Ford to Chevy. I also discuss whether I regret reserving my Ford Bronco now that Ram released this new off-road truck. . I sourced my information from @Car and Driver @Ram Trucks and @Autoblog . Pickups were once judged based on ruggedness rather than refinement. No longer. And this latest Ram, with its luxury-grade interior and cushy ride quality, easily exceeds even the fanciest versions of theĀ Chevy Silverado 1500,Ā GMC Sierra 1500, andĀ Ford F-150. Its innovative air suspension, built-in cargo-bed bins, split-folding tailgate, and giant 12.0-inch touchscreen are all options not offered on its rivals. Along with a frugal and torque-rich diesel six-cylinder engine, the Ram enhances its standard V-6 and optional Hemi V-8 with hybrid systems. They contribute to the pickup’s contemporary vibe, which is also bolstered by its extensive technology and myriad capabilities. What’s New for 2021? Not only has the debut of theĀ Hellcat-powered Ram 1500 TRX, which we review separately, made Ram’s 2021 half-ton lineup more interesting, it also signals the introduction of some cool new options for the less-extreme models. Although the name of this first 700-plus-hp production pickup is generally pronounced as its three constituent letters, the people that built it like to call it ā€œT. rexā€ to tee up the rivalry with the obvious competitor, Fordā€™s F-150 Raptor. ā€œT. rex destroys raptors,ā€ says the head of the Ram brand, Mike Koval, referring both to the Jurassic era and, Ram hopes, the fourth quarter of 2020 when the Hellcat-powered TRX goes on sale. All TRXs have a crew-cab, short-bed configuration, and with a base price of $71,690ā€”thatā€™s $13,555 more than a crew-cab Raptorā€”it had better be impressive. Loaded TRXs will be pushing $90,000. The goal was to create the most megalomaniacal pickup, starting with 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque from the supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 thatā€™s finding its way into more and more engine bays. It’s a simple and yet oh-so-compelling strategy. But the TRX is way more than just a Hellcat-powered Ram 1500. Its flared fenders are a massive 8.0 inches wider, with a 6.0-inch increase in track width. In order to deal with hold-my-beer-grade off-road antics, the frame and suspension components have been comprehensively reinforced. Ram even moved the front axle forward slightly in the quest to endow this truck with more than 13 inches of suspension travel front and rear, closely mimicking the Raptorā€™s specs. The new 2021 Ram TRX is designed for class-leading, uncompromising performance in the harshest environments. Stratospheric power and performance numbers were achieved in part through a new, innovative dual-path air induction system that ensures the 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V-8 engine receives a steady supply of clean, cool air regardless of inbound dirt and debris. The Ram TRX uses two paths to draw in outside air and routes it to a large, 29-liter air box that filters out dirt, sand, debris and water before getting anywhere near the engine. The innovative dual-path system pulls in outside air from a functional scoop in the hood and the upper edge of the grille. Air entering the grille flows to the bottom front of the air box, guided by tailored panels. The hood scoop ducts air to the bottom rear of the air box via ports that seal to the hood when it is closed. An air box support bar is precision-mounted in the engine compartment during vehicle assembly to ensure the hood intake seals to the air box ducts to prevent engine-heated air from entering the system. Directing incoming air to the bottom of the air box helps dirt and water settle out before the air reaches the filter elements, ensuring that the Ram TRX continues to perform in the most grueling environments. A one-way drain in the bottom of the air box evacuates water even when the vehicle is moving. Intake air is drawn upward from the box through twin, heavy-duty air [More]

The battle for the best high-performance pickup truck just got interesting now that the 702-horsepower Ram 1500 TRX has entered the arena. The only question left is whether the TRX can get more air over the jumps than the now seemingly obsolete Raptor. Base: $71,690 Launch Edition: $90,265 While we’ve been told how much the base TRX will cost as well as the sticker price of the limited-production Launch Edition, we don’t know how much the TR1 and TR2 trim packages that upgrade the interior will be. Likewise, we only know that the TRX will have a healthy amount of options but not their price. Once that information is released, and Ram goes live with a configurator, we can assemble our ideal version. šŸ“Œ Fanpage: https://www.facebook.com/CarNewsToday88/ šŸ“Œ Website : https://carnewstodayusa.blogspot.com/ šŸ“Œ Email : autotv2018@gmail.com šŸ‘‰ Subscribe now: https://goo.gl/z4hsUU āš  Donā€™t miss next videos: Press the little bell ((šŸ””)) to get notifications
The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is here, and Fordā€™s free ride is over with the F-150 Raptor. Ford has had it good for a long time without any significant competition. Neither GM nor FCA entered the off-road full-size truck market with an offering like the Raptor. Chevy makes the Colorado ZR2, but itā€™s a midsize truck. With the introduction of the Ram TRX, Ford finally has a proper competitor. Timing of the Ram TRXā€™s release happens to fall in an in-between time for the Raptor, too. The F-150 is all new for 2021, but Ford hasnā€™t released any details on the Raptor variant ā€” though, weā€™ve heard that the wait wonā€™t be long. Regardless, Ford had better be aiming for the moon if it aims to best the TRX, because Ramā€™s new off-road truck is one hell of a moonshot. Ram TRX powertrain Hereā€™s another great reason to buy a TRX. Just as we thought would happen, FCA has dropped the Hellcat engine into the truck. It makes 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque in this application, which is good for a 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds. It achieves this time using the truckā€™s Launch Control mode, activated via a big button on the dash. Car and Driver tested the current Raptor at 5.1 seconds, so the TRX is definitely quicker. The quarter mile passes in 12.9 seconds at 108 mph, completely absurd figures for a gigantic pickup. Just like the other Hellcat-equipped vehicles, the TRX gets a [More]
