More than 5 million people are now known to have contracted the coronavirus. New infections are easing in Europe and the US, but experts say a second wave is inevitable. New cases are surging in Latin America. Brazil, which reported the continent’s first case back in February, is seeing the most new cases. On Wednesday alone, the country recorded almost 20,000 new infections. If the trend continues, its likely that Brazil could soon have the second-highest number of cases in the world. Turkey’s economy was in trouble before the coronavirus outbreak and its economic fallout hit the country. The Turkish lira has tumbled against the dollar and central bank interventions aren’t helping much. Quebec Premier François Legault and provincial health officials provided an update on Tuesday about the province’s new COVID-19 cases and the government’s ongoing response to the coronavirus pandemic. The premier announced that the province’s updated death toll now stands at 1,041, which includes an increase of 102 more deaths as total COVID-19 cases top 20,000 in the province. The majority of deaths — 850 — to date originated in the province’s long-term care homes, according to Legault. He said there were 80 such facilities where the spread of the virus is not under control. In addition, Legault said out of 2,000 health-care employees missing and needed during the pandemic, Quebec has recruited 1,000 more doctors, nurses, orderlies and medical students, adding that by April 22, the province should be able to fill the remaining 1,000 vacant positions. Legault said a meeting will be held later in the day regarding how the province will gradually reopen its economy, its schools and its daycare centres. He stressed the importance that the process must be gradual to avoid another wave of COVID-19. Nearly 20,000 foreign workers are under quarantine in two dorms in Singapore – S11 Dormitory @ Punggol and Westlite Toh Guan – after large clusters of COVID-19 cases were found. Cannon Shoots 19000 Matches! Matches Chain Reaction Experiment! Amazing Fire Domino! In this experiment i built a cannon made from pine wood and matches. I used 7250 matchsticks for the cannon and 19250 as the munition. The black powder you see in the video is used for science experiments in schools. But you should NEVER try this at home without professional supervision! I made this video because i would like to entertain you. Nothing else! The video costs me $70 and 2 weeks. I spent: -10 hours with the research about the ingredients -15 hours to build the cannon -5 hours with cutting the 19000 matches in half – 3 hours to prepare for the shoot scenes – 6 hours to find copyright free music (this is why i hate this part of the work the most! No matter which music i choose. 20% of people will hate it) – 5 hours with editing the video – 1 hour with this description/tags/title I drove about 200 miles to buy everything i need for this video. I burned about 200 matches by the time i finally made the perfect picture for the thumbnail and i choosed this one from about 70 pictures.
