New York hailing singer/songwriter/producer Ron Gerald releases “Don’t Shoot”, a song he originally penned in 2016 in response to the killings of black men and women. As racial tensions and police brutality reached a tipping point in 2020, Ron finally released the record as the message needed to be heard.

Trey Songz and August Alsina have been two major R&B singers who have dropped records addressing the same issues in recent weeks (check out Trey Songz – “2020 Riots: How Many Times” here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5QHGScwYfg) but Ron Gerald’s effort is the most heartfelt, soulful and sonically pleasing of the bunch, proving that he is a name we all need to be keeping an eye on. It also has to be said that the similarities to Michael Jackson are striking.
