What happens to migrant workers from Singapore’s dormitories during and after their recovery from COVID-19?
Two residents of S11 Dormitory@Punggol – including Pugal, whose story is told in this series (Part 1: https://youtu.be/wq-dygv456w Part 2: https://youtu.be/Qis6_86DlVU) – have been housed on board cruise ship Superstar Gemini and in a vacant HDB flat in Bedok, after long journeys that saw that shifted from hotel to army camp to resort to the Singapore Expo, across the breadth of Singapore.
But what they really want, is more certainty over what happens to them next – and when they can go back to their dormitories and friends.
