WOOOA hey guys! Whoops looks like another not so usual video..
So this topic has been on my mind for quite some time now. I made this video to hopefully help others who are just like I was/am see the lights that social media is all facade. Stop comparing yourself and your life to an image. LOVE YO LIFE! LOVE YO SELF! I really hope my message shined through in this vid and it didnβt come off as my blabbing away (aka the usual). This topic resonates deeply with me because iβve seen first hand what negativities it has caused in my way of thinking. Since I first hopped on the social media band wagon (Oh the MySpace days) iβve found myself getting so obsessed with other peoples lives. What others are posting, what they are commenting, what they are doing.. losing touch with obsessing over MY life and what IβM doing. You may not notice but this is SO draining and has NO positive effects!
My honest advice? If you find yourself knee-deep in obsessing over social media, other peoples likes, posts, etc. DELETE YOUR INSTAGRAM OR TUMBLR! It may sound scary.. but YOUR HEALTH AND MENTAL HEALTH ALWAYS COMES FIRST! Take the time that you would be on those sites to find YOURSELF, treat YOURSELF, love YOURSELF! You can always re-make these accounts if you think your ready or hey, you might even realize you donβt need it! (This is the reason why I didnβt have an Instagram for so long, so yes iβm speaking from βexperienceβ) π YOU DO YOU!
