When most people think of “MBA” the first name that pops into their mind is Harvard Business School.
Harvard Business School was established in 1908 and has been a top choice of B-school for most MBA aspirants.
However, receiving more than 10,000 applications per year, Harvard Business School is one of the most difficult MBA programs to get into.
That’s why we’ve prepared this video to help you make your Harvard admissions essays stand out!
To get into Harvard other than a high GMAT score you also need to be able to tell your story in a compelling and unique fashion in your Application essay.
Writing any MBA application essay is a hard task, however, Harvard raises the bar with its highly-challenging yet open-ended prompt. In fact, HBS liked the question so much last year, they kept it unchanged for this admissions season.
Essay Question: “As we review your application, what more would you like us to know as we consider your candidacy for the Harvard Business School MBA Program?”
There is no word limit and it goes on to say, “Don’t overthink, over craft or overwrite. Just answer the question in clear language and that those of us who don’t know your world can understand”.
When you are writing the essay avoid a lot of jargon.
They already have your resume, they already have your recommendation letters, they have your undergrad transcripts, they have your entire work experience, they have all your achievements, they have your GMAT scores with them, they have your Quant and verbal split.
They have everything about you.
They know all of this and now tell them something else about you.
Now if you think about this at a very fundamental level, what Harvard is really looking at is that one story that inspires you. That one thing that gives them the “Why” about you. “What’ they already know but the “Why” they need know.
So watch this video where we tell you a step by step guide to approaching your Harvard Business School Application Essay.
