God's character is consistent and without flaw, and interacting with Him sets us up to expect His goodness. His motives are loving and pure. When we obey Him out of a place of trust and belief, we see that His will is for us to experience in our lives the same quality of life that Jesus has with the Father – abundantly! Rather than living from a place of stress, He wants us to experience joy as our strength. After all, He created FUN!
