In a previous episode, I attempt to weld blobs of flux metal to replace 3 missing teeth on my steering sector gear. While it worked for a while, the torque of steering merely grinded down the teeth that were meant to be cast iron strength. The stock original steering sector is extremely rare and hard to find. I did find one for $120 which I wasnt willing to pay. There were similar gears that are attached to a different linkage but I grinded the rivets off and welded onto my linkage. The part only cost $25 and now my steering is just like new.
