Law enforcement officers and health workers in Durban had their hands full yesterday. Health workers had to screen about 300 people in the China Mall building on Pixley KaSeme Street, formally known as West Street. Police and soldiers raided the multi-storey building on Tuesday night following a tip-off that many of its residents were presenting with flu-like symptoms.
The KwaZulu Natal government says it will be stricter in enforcing nationwide lockdown measures. So far two people have died from COVID-19 in the province, both in their 40s.
