The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Australia has climbed to 5,552, with the death toll rising to 30.

New South Wales is still the state with the highest number of cases.

7:02 - The global death toll from the coronavirus has now surpassed 60,000.

7:32 - More than 8,000 people have died from COVID-19 in the USA, with about half the deaths in New York state alone.
