Nova Scotia’s Premier Stephen McNeil, joined by Dr. Robert Strang, the province’s chief medical officer of health, hold the province's daily coronavirus briefing.

On Monday, Dr. Strang announced five new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in Nova Scotia to 127.

He said one of the cases under investigation is now confirmed to be a case of community spread, as there were no direct links to travel or any previous cases.

Dr. Strang said the community transmission case was not a surprise and that public health expects to see more community cases as time moves along.
