Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister and health Minister Cameron Friesen will make announcement in relation to the province’s efforts to curb the COVID-19 outbreak.
Dr. Brent Roussin, the province’s chief public health officer, and Lanette Siragusa, chief nursing officer, provide an update on the province’s COVID-19 response will deliver their daily briefing at approx. 2pm ET.
Manitoba announced on Tuesday that schools across the province would be closed indefinitely through the rest of the school year in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The news came as seven more people had contracted the novel coronavirus, bringing the province past 100 cases for a total of 103.
There has been on death, with three people in hospital and two in intensive care. Four people have recovered.
