#BinTime #AmazonReturns #Resale
BinTime is located in Taylor’s, SOuth Carolina. A new location has just opened in Anderson, SC as well.
This store has been advertised as being outside of Charlotte, NC but it’s actually nearer to Greenville, South Carolina. Returns from Amazon are sold here, most items are brand new in sealed packages. Prices vary depending on the day you visit BinTime. Saturday and Sunday prices are $5 per item. Monday prices are $3 and then Tuesday prices are $1. They only restock inventory on Saturday. Lines form in the early hours of the morning and begin to wrap around the building as bargain hunters, thrifters, resellers, yard sale people file in.
Surely deals are found that will blow your mind. While standing in line for the quickest 30 minutes ever, I heard what some of the other theifters had found. One person scored an iPad for $3, another a video projector for $3, and another found a scope for their gun for $5. All of these items were worth way more and of course the individuals planned to flip these funds for a profit.
Saturday’s are the best days to attend as they put out the new inventory then and are more keen to find the “better” deals then. Store hours are 12:00-5:00. And as with any thrifting or wholesale shopping you luck up some days, and other days you don’t. but you certainly have to be a bargain hunter to enjoy this store. Everything’s scattered in bins and you must dig to find what’s you like. I saw everything from Dove body soap, water sprinklers, art, China, pillow cases, head hammocks, phone accessories, and yes, even a kitchen sink!
I must say that the employees were all very polite and helpful. They have a well thought out system that seems to be working very well. As you approach the store someone is standing there letting you know exactly what to expect next. When you get inside you get your big blue ikea bag and are able to fill it with as many items as you can carry. Music is playing in the background, employees are politely remind customers to please not open the packages. However, if you are curious to know what something is, there is a section for that to. On the right side of the cashiers, you find the box opening section. This is where a worker will cut open the package and let you see what’s inside and let you decide if you want it or not.
There are bathrooms but I noticed a line forming with some squirmy people standing waiting. Lol Wear comfortable shoes, and remember no outside bags or carts are allowed. You look have to struggle carrying the bag just like the rest of us. Children aren’t allowed under 16 per a sign I read. However, upon entering BinTime I did see children. The parents told me the kids just aren’t allowed to shop the bins. Saying that, it can get a little tricky digging through bins with objects that may have broken at some point. Be careful and maybe take a pair of gloves. Use the bathroom before you go, take a snack and prepare to spend some time in there.
Happy hunting! Please drop a comment sharing your best finds.
