New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy is holding his daily press conference on the Covid-19 outbreak, which has infected more than 128,269 people in the state, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. New Jersey has the second most cases in the U.S., behind New York, which now has more than 318,953 cases. Murphy announced Monday that the state’s schools will stay closed for the remainder of the academic year to continue to curb further spread of the coronavirus.
